Makoto Isshiki (一色 誠 Isshiki Makoto?) is a character in the Japanese light novel series and anime, Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai!.
He is voiced by Souichirou Hoshi in the anime. In the English dub, he is voiced by Greg Ayres.
Character Outline
Makoto Isshiki was the first friend Yuuta Togashi made in high school. He is friendly and sits behind Yuuta. Similarly to Yuuta, he hardly knew anyone in their class at first. He often makes profiles of other girls in the class. He later joins the Light Music Club to get attentions from girls until he met Kumin Tsuyuri. He bought a new red electric guitar but barely knew how to play it. Later on, he decides to leave the club, but his seniors didn't approve of his decision.
Background
When Makoto was in junior high, he had a baseball crew cut. He doesn’t like having a crew cut because he thinks it makes him looks like a grade schooler. Unfortunately, his father turned bald at the age of 35 and he inherited his father’s genes. Judging from the genes, he'll go bald in a little over 20 years. Makoto was caught in the act of having a poll on the “Cutest girl in the class” and he accepted the self-given punishment of shaving off all of his hair.

Makoto has dark coloured skin and blue eyes. He had short black hair until it was shaved off later.
Personality
He is friendly and befriends Yuuta on their first day in class. He often makes profiles on other girls and is constantly trying to get their attention. He falls in love with Kumin when she is longing to pat his head.
